Spamalot

The Star Tribune has a brief column on Cheri Blauwet, a wheelchair marathoner who competed in this weekend's Grandma's Marathon in Duluth. She finished second in the women's wheelchair category.

I'm getting tons of trackback spam and my efforts to reduce it have so far been unsuccessful. I'm about ready to permanently de-activate trackback on all future entries, but I don't think that would solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Does MT blacklist work for TrackBack spam?

I didn't find a good solution when I was using Movable Type, and given the very few legitimate trackbacks I got, disabling it seemed the way to go.

Rick Reilly of Sports Illustrated has had 3 columns in the last 8 months about disabled athletes. Last week's for Father's Day was about a father who does the triathalon with his paraplegic son...they've been doing it for over 40 years. One year, doing the Boston (? maybe NY) marathon they came in something like 200th overall...with the able-bodied runners that is, they are not grouped with the wheelchair partcipants. The column is probably still on SI.com
