Le Bon Mot
I'm sorry, but the chick got in the way.
A U.S. Marine after shooting an Iraqi woman at a checkpoint.
Yes, many of our troops are brave and honorable men and women. And some are brain-dead semiliterates who joined the military because the mill wasn't hiring.
I saw Far from Heaven last night. A great film, both visually and thematically. And a wonderful use of 1950s film conventions to tell a modern story.

To the couch general genius:
So you got a job at the mill.
congratulations!
semiliterates?
Not like you, watching a movie, instead of READING!
You had around a hour and a half to make up your mind about the movie.
The Marine at the check point may have had half a second to decide to open fire or risk the possibility of being killed.
35 years ago in Nam, shooting a 'chick' wouldn't have made it into conversation, much less the news.
However; new modern age reporting allows every couch general with a remote controll in his or her hand to second guess semiliterates.
It is an easy job, as long as YOU don't have to be there doing it.
So, stick with what you know, rating movies and working at the mill, Genius.

Send Mill boy back to France.

perhaps instead of knocking "semiliterates" who missed the mill hiring you should concern yourself with brain-dead pseudo-intellectuals who pretend to know something about world politics by spouting arrogant (ignorant) opinions about someone else
